Privacy Policy

Last updated July 28, 2026

This policy explains what happens to the information you share with us through this website. It does not cover the health information we hold about clients in treatment — that is governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which we provide at the start of care and will send on request.

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us. If you fill in the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and the message you write.

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs — such as IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested — for security and reliability purposes.

A short note is all we need

There is no need to write out your history to get in touch. Tell us you would like to talk and how to reach you, and we will cover the details together — by phone, and then through our secure client portal once care begins.

How we use your information

We use what you send solely to respond to you, schedule a consultation, and keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Services we rely on

A small number of established providers help this website run — hosting, the contact form, the typefaces, and the client portal. We choose providers that meet the confidentiality and security standards expected of a healthcare practice, and each handles information under its own privacy and security terms.

The client portal linked from this site is operated by our practice-management provider. Anything you enter there is held in that system rather than on this website.

Cookies and tracking

This is a static website. We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not run cross-site tracking or ad-retargeting pixels.

How long we keep it

Contact-form messages are kept for as long as we need them to answer you and to maintain a reasonable business record. If you become a client, your clinical record is retained under the schedule described in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable New Jersey and New York law.

Your choices

You can ask us what website information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email msears@centerforebp.com or call 201-305-0428 and we will respond promptly. Requests about clinical records are handled under our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

Children

This website is written for adults. We treat children and adolescents in our practice, but we do not knowingly collect information from children through this site — a parent or guardian should make the first contact.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the website handles information, we will update this page and revise the date above.
